Robotics

STEAM-ED takes pride in one of the largest and most successful VEX Robotics programmes in New Zealand.
Whether your young one is just starting their robotics journey, or they want to aim to compete at the World Championships, we have a group to suit their skill level.
Robotics isn't just about learning to design, build and programme.  It also teaches critical thinking, collaboration, clear communication, problem solving and perseverance.  In our classes children usually work in pairs as we believe it is just as important to develop the teamwork skills which will be required in any future engineering career.
Our competitive robotics club is by invitation as we identify students who show passion, commitment and above average ability in our other classes.  The club members compete in local and national VEX Robotics competitions where they have the opportunity to qualify for the World Championships.
