Discovering Earth’s SystemsWhy do volcanoes erupt? How do forests help create rain? How do oceans, weather, soil, and living things work together to support life on Earth?We’ll investigate:
- weather and storms
- oceans and the water cycle
- rocks, volcanoes and earthquakes
- ecosystems and animal habitats
- what makes Earth a living planet
Robotics - Foundation Class
A class especially for children beginning to work with robots or with limited experience.
Children will work in pairs with our VEX IQ kits to problem solve as they create a solution to Term 3’s challenge.

Earth Systems Lab - Senior Afterschool - Term 3
Earth Science, Ecology and Engineering
Earth is a giant network of interconnected systems that make life possible.
We’ll investigate how Earth’s atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, and lithosphere interact, through experiments, model-building, and creative challenges about:
- Geology and Tectonics
- Ecosystems and Biodiversity
- Weather and Water Systems
- Designing sustainable and hazard-resilient structures.
Cost will be adjusted pro-rata if you join mid-way through the term.

Robotics - Experienced
Robotics promotes teamwork, creative thinking, perseverance & programming skills.
Students work with a teammate to problem solve and create.
Using VEX IQ kits, newer students build from instructions while those who have been with us before will be encouraged to be creative in their build as they create a solution to Term 3’s challenge.
