How to Build a Universe! Get hands-on with the building blocks of the universe – the elements of the periodic table. Your mission: design, mix, test, and transform everyday materials into extraordinary creations. Build sparkling crystal bridges, ditch the tape and weld your cardboard creations with chemical reactions, create a new kind of chewing gum, or design stretchy, strong waterproof solutions to real-world challenges. Learn about elements, molecules, and reactions as you invent, experiment and build like a chemist/engineer – with creations to take home! Please note – there will be no session on Labour Day, Monday 27th October. The last session will be on Monday 8 December to make up for the one missed.

This class is for those just beginning to learn about robotics or with limited knowledge.
Robotics promotes teamwork, creative thinking, perseverance and programming skills. Students will work with a teammate just as engineers work with others to problem solve and create.

Using VEX IQ kits, new students will build from instructions initially then become more creative as their skill level rises.
Programming will be incorporated.

Please note – If your child has done 3 or more terms in the Foundation class, please talk to Jason about whether they are ready to step up to the Thursday ‘Experienced’ afterschool class.
